Beginning play in 2021, the Cotton States Baseball League - Coastal Division plans to host 6 - 8 teams competing in a pro-style, collegiate wood bat league for players with college eligibility.
Building upon 12 years of success in the Cotton States Baseball League - North Division, the Coastal Division will play games in Biloxi at MGM Park, Biloxi High School and at AJ Holloway Complex. Schedules are designed to maximize participation by players who work during the summer, attend summer school, etc. Starting June 4th and culminating with a League Championship Series (LCS) Championship Game at 2:00 on August 2nd, each team will play 3 games per weekend (either Friday, Saturday, and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday, or Monday).
A very affordable fee structure ($550 for position players and $425 for POs) assures players' spots in the league - teams will be drafted on Mother's Day weekend. Each player receives 2 jerseys (home and away) and matching socks/belt/hat. Wooden bats are provided by the league. Coaching staffs are being identified. All statistics are posted on this website at the conclusion of each day's games.
A Twitter account has been established (@cottoncoastal) and a radio partner is being identified.
The CSBL – North operates at a single site located conveniently off of US 78 (future I-22) in New Albany, MS
on the renovated Legion Field at the BNA Bank Park. Players typically come from a 150 mile radius which includes Ole Miss, MSU. Delta State,
Memphis, Arkansas State, Tennessee Tech, Jackson State, Blue Mountain College, and a number of area junior colleges. Players that do not live
within that radius are invited to apply if they have the means to arrange for housing, have relatives living in the area, etc.

Endorsed by baseball legends Donnie Kessinger and John Cohen, the league employs each of the coaching staffs,
recruiting managers with collegiate and professional connections. Past coaches include Curt Fowler who is currently serving as the
head coach of Blue Mountain College, John Walker and Doug Robbins of Delta State University, Chris Basil
who played at Ole Miss, and Shawn Hairald and Chip Wade, professional scouts, among others.
The league also features a collegiate level website complete with individual statistics, standings, schedules and
player information. The CSBL Game of the Week has been featured on local radio stations as well as streamed live over the internet for
the various fans across the region and in other states. The league also posts notices via Twitter (@cottonstates) and photographs on
Facebook.
As a showcase league for players and others, a number of individuals have taken the opportunity to perform the
National Anthem and/or have thrown out the ceremonial first pitch, including Congressman Alan Nunnelee, Paid in Full, KC Johns, and
Jordyn Mallory.
